Worksheet for Children to Write Their Own Smelly Troll Story

I've just uploaded a new creative writing worksheet to help key stage 2 children plan and write a humorous, adventure story.

Download Write Your Own Smelly Troll Story.

I am a children's author working on a series for 8-10 year olds, called Smelly Trolls. The books all follow the same formula - a bad troll does or plots something naughty and a troll hunter has to save the day.

The worksheet takes the child through creating two characters, setting the scene, creating conflict, concluding a story, and bringing all the components together. There is also an optional simple map drawing exercise.

Although the worksheet ties in with my children's series, it can be used in isolation.

For those of you unfamiliar with me and my work, I'm a number one bestselling author. My début children's title, The Troll Trap, is a popular adventure book amongst both individual children and school classes.

I have one of two school donations still to distribute, if you are interested.

There are related learning resources such as The Making of the Troll Trap, which describes the more involved process of an author writing a full length novel for publication and a comprehension worksheet.

If you work with children on any activity related to the Smelly Troll series then I would love to hear about it. Please email rosen.trevithick@gmail.com
